What a weekend we’ve had! We had such an amazing time at Brides the Show meeting some lovely brides and discussing their exciting big days!
If any of our readers attended or have kept an eye on our Twitter, you’ll have seen our beautiful creation for the show, we decorated a table with a low and tall long arrangement in dusky, pastel blues and lilacs with amazing pops of bright pink for something a little bit different.
Using the mix of pastels and hot pinks really got the thousands of brides to notice us, as fans of Jamie Aston will know, we do it all a little differently and for brides out there, more and more are looking for this.
We used stunning pastel and gorgeous dark purple hydrangeas, light and bright pink roses and spray roses, light pink and plum astilbe, hot pink phalaenopsis and purple dendrobium orchids, a little oak leaf, rosemary and poppy seed heads for foliage.
We gave out adorable wedding brochures to brides, they were the perfect size to pop into your bag!
Upon plinths we placed urns of pink snowberries which really created a serious impact on mass.
A stunning Pomander using these amazing naturally pink and white splattered spray roses.
We presented different bouquets for different colour schemes, this sunset orange one was just stunning and had been worked on with our flower school students! The light pink rose bouquet and traditional white hydrangea and rose bouquets were the more classic nod to a wedding bouquet.
By candlelight the display really came into it’s own and we loved the nighttime effect it gave.
After the arrangements were erected we decided we had to go for a wander and see who else had come along…
We loved this stand from Platinum Raspberry, using silk flowers to create an ombre effect, the table runners matched the shade of pink above and with so much glitter we were sold!
How cute is this lightbulb idea? A great DIY for any reception room.
Bubblegum Balloons flooded the show as they decorated most of the stairways, with feathers, tassels and sequins these have to be the coolest balloons around.
The catwalk, dressed by Zita Elze and Palmbrokers, had an English Rose theme creating a gorgeous garden feel around it. Not to mention how stunning the dresses were! Each catwalk show had a serious crowd with eager brides checking off favourites in notebooks.
Zita Elze, who won the Editor’s Gold Design Award, created an etherial fairy like stand with dried limonium placed onto trees.
How incredible is this floral dress? Zita specialises in flower embroidery so each small bud is meticulously sewn into fabric, she had this dress and a pair of high heels on display using this technique.
We spotted our lovely vase in the background of Browns Brides and this stunning Vera Wang, one of their priciest dresses but so fabulous, the lace was so delicate you couldn’t help with swish if you were wearing it!
We also helped to dress the Brides ‘We Heart Heels’ stand which displayed gorgeous designer shoes which were all up for auction on Ebay, all of the proceeds go to the British Heart Foundation so a wonderful opportunity to be involved indeed! You can still bid on these lovely shoes and help a worthy cause here.
We also caught a lot of Social media interest too!
