October Flower School: Wired Bridal Bouquet

Bridal week of our Flower School has to be one of our favourite, the different projects involved are varied and call upon lots of different technical floristry skills. With the introduction of wire work we tested our students with this gorgeous project, a fully wired bridal bouquet.

The morning began with a lot of wiring and a little bit of squinting to make sure everything was ready for the creation!

We used green cymbidium orchid, Grand Prix and Ocean Song roses, Ranunculus, Pimpernel Class Hydrangea, Hypericum, Dark Purple and Promise Calla lilies, Skimmia, Spray Rose and Galax Leaves for underneath the bouquet.

By bending the roses down it was easier to keep to the domed shape of the bouquet.

We loved the wintery colours in this bouquet and our students created some wonderfully domed bouquets, it’s great to see how a bouquet can differ so much even though each student is using the same flowers and technique, you can see their creative flair coming out which is so lovely to see at this stage of our Professional Floristry class.
