Princess Diana Inspired Bouquet for Brides Magazine
Posted in: Press
Brides Magazine set us a challenge to create a beautiful bridal bouquet based quite closely on this very famous bouquet…
For a photoshoot at Brides Magazine, we created a stunning, classic cascade bouquet, it may be a little dated these days but it still creates an impressive bit of arm candy!
From our research we found out that Diana’s bouquet weighed just under half a stone, a serious arm workout for any bride, and she had three bouquets made, one for the rehearsal, one for the ceremony and one for the photos. We also found out that since Queen Victoria’s bouquet, sprigs of myrtle are often hidden in royal bouquets, it has been used in wedding ceremonies even in Greek Mythology as a symbol of love and immortality.
We used white avalanche roses, white snowflake spray roses, dendrobium orchids, trailing ivy and pittosporum foliage, creating a large posy at the top and then adding long strands of wired roses, long stemmed orchids and ivy.
Look out for the shoot in a Brides Magazine coming to you soon, what do you think of the bouquet? Would you go for this classic style?
