How To Step by Step Low Bowl Arrangement
Posted in: School
Today we’re focusing on the low bowl arrangement taught on our seasonal class at the weekend. For more information about our seasonal class visit our Seasonal Class page.
STEP 1 – Using a small plastic gardeners tub place soaked oasis inside and hold in place with florist’s tape. Cover the tub with thin bark and secure tightly with string.
STEP 2 – Cut the bark to fit the tub and position the bowl so it looks neat and secure.
STEP 3 – Add in your foliage first so you can cover the bottom layer with long stems of eucalyptus and add slightly shorter foliage around the top of the arrangement.
STEP 4 – Add in your larger blooms first such as hydrangea to fill the larger spaces. Snip the stems at a diagonal to ease insertion into the oasis and cut them to an appropriate height to keep a domed effect.
STEP 5 – Begin to add in smaller statement flowers like roses, ensure to keep these evenly distributed throughout the arrangement.
STEP 6 – Add in more blooms until all gaps are filled, we used dahlia, celosia, agapanthus and poppy heads. Twist the arrangement around to make sure the arrangement is even. And you’re ready to go! These arrangements are perfect for around the home and the white and green theme is a wonderfully classic option.
